Monthly meetings are held online and in person. A Zoom link will be emailed out to members prior to the meeting and will be available for non-members upon request.
Many attendees meet at the Green Man’s Arms Bar and Restaurant in Carlton around 6pm for a light meal, drink and catch up before heading to the meeting at 7:30.
Presentation: Giants in Them Hills: New Advances in the Fossil Record of Ice Age Buchan
Tim is the Collection Manager of Vertebrate Palaeontology at Museums Victoria. He provides care and access to hundreds of thousands of fossils in the State Collection at Melbourne Museum, from microscopic plankton to dinosaurs and whales. He manages their security, facilitates research, and records the scientific and historical data associated with each item. Since 2021, he has been working under scientific permit and with private landholders to investigate Buchan’s extinct Ice Age fauna, preserved in underground fossil deposits.
