A diving trip will take place in Elk River Cave on the weekend of 5th, 6th and 7th of May, 2017.
Support (for portering, etc.) is requested from dry cavers. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated and would contribute to the ongoing success of this most important caving project.
The task is to assist the divers to get their equipment down to stream level through 3M-14 Baby Berger Cave. This is a relatively simple cave, but interesting and fun.
Going upstream or downstream in the stream passage (very wet and fun) is optional.
NOTE: SRT competence is essential, though only one short pitch is involved.
Logistics: arrive Thursday or Friday night, return Sunday evening, stay at Homeleigh. Friday and Saturday morning will be moving gear down to stream level, and Sunday morning will be retrieving gear.
You must be a paid member to join this trip. If you are new to the club, you must bring a signed membership form and $50 to join as an introductory member.
This is a must because without payment of form, you will not be covered for ASF insurance, therefore you may not join the session.
