Steve Fordyce is running the first of hopefully a series of VSA Glenelg River karst trips on the weekend of 23-24th August (with possible extension 22nd or 25th), in far western Victoria. The area has much scope for finding new and existing features and checking them. Caves are typically shallow and not very long, with a few exceptions. There is scope for multiple independent teams to do various small projects – above and below ground.
Extensive caving experience is not required, although a reasonable level of fitness will be useful, and some interest in getting various jobs done. How much actual caving/walking/etc. is up to the individual. Cavers will need to organise their own transport and accommodation.
