A trip for those who attended the previous SRT Training at Whipstick Gully or who have SRT experience.

The weekend will be a consolidation of skills so only those who have some SRT experience will be catered for. We also need some more highly experienced people to act as coaches.

The plan is to start with an open air session at Wilson’s on the abseiling wall. That will be followed up with a couple of caves in the potholes that have a significant vertical pitch. M55 has a free hang pitch of about 20m once the entry is negotiated. M134 has a narrower pitch of around 15m which is accessed through a squeeze. If time permits there may also be a trip in another Potholes cave (yet to be determined).

This will also be an opportunity for those wishing to progress to Vertical Leadership to hone and demonstrate their vertical leadership skills.
